Processing

  2. Mixing the Ink:

    • Pigment Addition: If a colored discharge is desired, mix the appropriate pigments into the discharge ink.
  3. Printing:
    • Application: Load the ink onto the screen and use a squeegee to press the ink through the mesh onto the fabric.
    • Multiple Passes: Depending on the fabric and design, multiple passes may be necessary to ensure even application.
  4. Curing:
    • Heat Activation: Cure the printed fabric at a specific temperature (typically around 160°C or 320°F) to activate the discharge agent. This process usually takes 2-3 minutes.
    • Steaming (if needed): Some formulations might require steaming at around 96°C (205°F) for a fixed time using saturated steam.
  5. Post-Processing:
    • Washing: After curing, wash the fabric to remove any residual chemicals and unreacted discharge agent.
    • Drying: Dry the fabric at room temperature or using a dryer.
